1-2 tbsp. - sweetener of choice (organic maple syrup, organic

optional

1 tbsp.    Okra slime

In a bullet-type blender, puree the top three ingredients until completely smooth. Add the slime. Puree for 60 seconds.

** I drink this right away - down the hatch.

I don't sip it. I drink it all in one whole shot.

One serving

Life-Force Slaw

July 30,2021

1 radicchio - small/med head

4in - Burdock Root

1 large or 2 small - Bitter Melon

1/2 tbsp. - fresh ginger root

4in - Rhubarb - peeled

1 cup - organic apple cider vinegar

Raw honey to taste

Sea salt

Shred the burdock, bitter melon and ginger with a cheese grater, or shred it your favorite way. Dice up any large pieces left over. Slice the rhubarb very finely and then dice into tiny pieces. Cut the bottom off the radicchio and throw it away. Cut the radicchio into quarters. Very finely slice it like slaw cabbage. Mix everything together in a large glass storage container. Add the apple cider vinegar, honey and salt to taste. With the lid on shake everything up to get all of the goods mixed. It will last about 5 days. Be sure to shake it up each time before you eat it. That way all of the juices and mix well again. Yum!

Makes 4 cups - 4 servings

Enjoy as a snack or as a side for any meal.

This is also for the Life-Force Juice recipe.

Okra Juice aka Okra Slime

July 30, 2021

2-3 lbs. Okra, fresh/raw

Rinse the okra in a sink bath with some Dr. Bronner's soap and warm water. Rinse well. Remove as much water as you can. There is no need to cut or trim the okra. With a powerful juicer, put the okra through the juicer. You will get a big slimey blob. Monitor how much of the bulk fiber comes out the other side. You might have to clean it out half way through. Wait for the slime to come out. You might have to tilt the juicer too. Store the slime in a glass jar. 3lbs. makes 3 cups.

1 tbsp = 1 serving

It's good for your hair too. Put a tbsp. in your shampoo. Rinse and condition like normal.

Hibiscus Lemonade

July 30, 2021

4 cups - water

1tbsp. - loose organic hibiscus tea leaves

1 - lemon

sweetener of choice

Boil 4 cups of water. In a pitcher, or a 4-cup jar, pour the water and add the hibiscus (in a tea ball) and steep for at least 30 min. Remove the tea ball. Squeeze the juice of one lemon in the tea. I added 2 tbsp. of organic maple syrup. Mix together. Refrigerate until cold. Add with ice. Yum!
